Overview

The 2026 CFE Program will be held on 23–24 June 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. The program is structured as a two-day academic and policy-oriented event, bringing together doctoral researchers, international scholars, universities, financial institutions, professional bodies, industry representatives, and policy stakeholders.

The first day will feature the PhD Consortium in Financial Economics, which offers a dedicated and supportive platform for PhD students and recent PhD graduates at different stages of their research. Participants will have the opportunity to present dissertation proposals or working papers to a panel of distinguished international scholars and peers. The Consortium is designed to facilitate constructive feedback, discussion of theoretical and methodological issues, and meaningful international research connections.

The second day will feature the workshop “Building an International Finance Talent Pool”, organized by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in collaboration with the Viet Nam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City (VIFC-HCMC). The workshop will focus on financial talent development, professional certification, industry demand, and policy–industry–university partnerships to support Viet Nam’s ambition to establish the center.
